NFL Draft 2018- Thoughts on Draft Order and Top 10 Mock Draft

We are 6 weeks into the NFL season and needless to say there are plenty of storylines to address but one storyline that is becoming more clear each week is how the draft order is shaping up for the 2018 NFL Draft. Through 6 weeks the Cleveland Browns and San Francisco 49ers are the only win-less teams left in the league, followed surprisingly by the New York Giants who only have 1 win and 7 other teams with 2 wins. Some of the other surprising teams in the projected top 10 include the Oakland Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys who were both projected to once again make the playoffs and potentially compete for the Superbowl.

The more surprising thing about the projected draft order after this weekend’s games is that the New York Jets, Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars are not in the top 10 and the Green Bay Packers may fall into the top 10 as well following the injury of QB Aaron Rodgers which could sidelined the star for the remainder of the season. Now there is still time for teams like the Raiders and Cowboys to turn their seasons around and fight their way out of the top 10 just like the Jets and Bills could fall back into the top 10 which most predicted, myself included. However the top 10 pans out at the end of the year, one thing is for certain; we can predict who teams might be targeting come 2018 and some team needs are so clear we could pencil in prospects for teams right now. With that being said let’s take a look at my updated mock draft strictly for the top 10. The draft order is made up of the current standings in the NFL along with my interpretation of how I think each team compares to each other (teams with the same record are determined by how I think they will project).
