NFL Free Agency Best Destinations for Top Free Agents
NICK FOLES- JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
TEDDY BRIDGEWATER- MIAMI DOLPHINS
Over the last few years, Miami has been trying to figure out whether or not QB Ryan Tannehill is their “guy” of the future and with head coach Adam Gase now in New York, it seems like Tannehill’s days in Miami is done. Let me first state that I have never been a Tannehill fan and combine that with the fact that he will be making top QB money this season, there is no way Miami can keep the former top 10 pick for another year. With Brian Flores now leading the team as their new head coach, it’s only fair for him to get his QB and Teddy Bridgewater could be that guy, but only for a few years. Miami is one of those teams in limbo and with the 2020 QB class shaping up to be very strong, Miami needs a QB who can step in and be a transitional QB for a rookie in the near future. Yes, Bridgewater and Tannehill are similar in play style but the difference is Bridgewater won’t command the money Tannehill will be making in 2019. Time for change in Miami.
LE’VEON BELL- OAKLAND RAIDERS
The Antnio Brown trade saga finally concluded when he was traded to the Oakland Raiders and since one former Steeler is on the West Coast, why not pair him with one of his former teammates who is also out the door. Oakland is in need of more help on offense and with Bell being one of the more versatile RBs in the league, it only makes sense to add his talents to Oakland’s rebuilding roster. Jon Gruden looks like he wants to win sooner rather than later so this move makes all the sense in the world for both sides.
MARK INGRAM- NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
TEVIN COLEMAN- CHICAGO BEARS
TYRELL WILLIAMS- CAROLINA PANTHERS
TREY FLOWERS- MIAMI DOLPHINS
Trey Flowers has been one of the more underrated pass rushers in the NFL and with New England’s history of not paying some of their top defenders in the past, he would be a highly coveted free agent and it feels like a perfect scenario to head to South Beach and reunite with his former defensive coordinator. Miami has failed to find a suitable partner for star pass rusher Cameron Wake and with Wake nearing the end of his career, Flowers could ease some pressure off the veteran defender and eventually take his place as the teams top pass rusher.
EZEKIEL ANSAH- INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
NDAMUKONG SUH- LOS ANGELES RAMS
ANTHONY BARR- TENNESSEE TITANS
During his time in Minnesota, LB Anthony Barr has been one of the more interesting defenders at his position. He has the size of a traditional pass rushing defensive end with the athleticism of a standup linebacker. The Titans look like they will be in dire need of a pass rusher so why not pair the former first round pick with a team led by a defensive head coach in Mike Vrabel. Not only would Barr be a good fit for the defense but Vrabel could also help Barr learn some tricks about the position and fine tune his game.
CJ MOSLEY- BALTIMORE RAVENS
LANDON COLLINS- DETROIT LIONS
Landon Collins has been one of the league’s top safeties so it comes as a surprise that the Giants would let their Pro-Bowl level defender leave for free agency. Collins will certainly be one of the most coveted free agents in free agency and with the Lions recently cutting ties with safety Golver Quin, Collins would be a big upgrade for Detroit’s secondary and give head coach Matt Patricia both a top level safety and a leader for the defense.
TYRANN MATHIEU- HOUSTON TEXANS
